Valve Reverse Engineering
Supply of one replacement seat for a NON F.R.I. Valve, realized by reverse Engineering, reassembly at Qatar Petroleum Workshop of the complete valve and pressure test. The Job was executed in 2 weeks to the full satisfaction of the client.

An installed Top Entry Ball Valve at QP Dukhan Field needed to be repaired and refurbished on a quick turnaround basis. The valve was of 6” X 2500# Ball valve supplied an overseas company for Khuff L at Gas Recycling plant in Dukhan fields. Due to the unavailability of the OEM valve seat the Khuff Plant L was not operational as it is serves as the Khuff L plant main process gas inlet shutdown valve. Our field engineers visited the site and identified the problem. QP had been looking for a spare seat for months and nobody, even the OEM, was able to supply the replacement seat.
The F.R.I. Field Service Team measured the valve, and through Reverse Engineering produced a new seat, reassembled the valve and successfully performed the pressure test. Now the valve has been made online post testing. All the work was done at the client’s workshop in the field. It took two weeks to complete the project which was extremely satisfactory to the client.
